9.7.2024 : IPOH : DATUK Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and youth movements to heed the government's call to reject corruption, abuse of power and oppression. 8.7.2024 : PUTRAJAYA : His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, reminded the public not to turn social media platforms into venues for arguments and shaming others, as these actions only contribute to division and conflict. 22.6.2024 : KUALA LUMPUR : The government has addressed two issues raised in the 2024 World Competitiveness Ranking (WCR) report, namely matters concerning subsidy rationalisation and the ringgit. 20.6.2024 : KUALA LUMPUR : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasised the need to quickly complete the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project. He yesterday said the government would extend full cooperation to Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRL) and China Communications Contruction Company Ltd (CCCC) to ensure timely execution of the project. 19.6.2024 : PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday said leaders must be firm and willing to take risks. 11.6.2024 : GOVERNMENT department heads who fail to report corruption will not be promoted, said Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The prime minister yesterday said he would make the suggestion to the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Zuki Mohd Ali in the next few days. The war against corruption, Anwar said, was a collective effort and not the sole responsibility of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). Full Article
9.6.2024 : PRIME Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reiterated that the government is firm in its stance of guaranteeing media freedom, but that freedom cannot be used to undermine unity and harmony, including by stirring up 3R issues (race, religion and royalty). He said the government always supported and defended the rights and freedom of the media in providing criticism, and this had been so since before independence. Full Article
11.5.2024 : KUALA LUMPUR : The area around KL Sentral will soon be redeveloped to ease traffic congestion. Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the project, expected to start by the end of this year, will address the traffic congestion. He said negotiations over the redevelopment plans under the Public-Private Partnership Unit (Ukas) with Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB) were still ongoing. Full Article
