Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh and Salam Sejahtera.
Welcome to the Public Private Partnership Unit (UKAS), Prime Minister’s Department’s portal.
UKAS was established in April 2009 as a central agency with the role to form strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) programme. Public private partnerships implemented in Malaysia since more than 30 years ago has gone through various evolutions and transformations in contributing to the rapid growth of development in Malaysia.
Among the main projects that Malaysia can be proud of include providing sophisticated and world-class infrastructure facilities such as highways, ports, airports, integrated transport terminals, hospitals and education hubs. These projects in turn become catalysts for Malaysia's economic growth, particularly in creating new areas that offer better mobility access. The implementation of PPP projects through various models also opens up avenues for the Government to generate the national economy through multiplier effects.
In line with the socio-economic development strategy set out in the 12th Malaysia Plan (2021 – 2025), PPP will continue to play an important role in contributing to the country's economic growth. Therefore, to ensure that Malaysia remains a competitive country in all economic sectors, UKAS is always committed to planning, evaluating, coordinating and negotiating public private partnership projects that benefit the country for the well-being of the people.
I hope this portal will make it easier for everyone to obtain information about PPP and be a useful reference source as part of UKAS' efforts to improve service delivery to all.
