New Straits Times : ZUKI : CIVIL SERVICE TO SCRAP OBSOLETE RULES

2.12.2023 : CHIEF Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali stated that outdated civil service regulations hindering project implementation would be amended for faster progress, particularly for projects benefiting the people. He has instructed relevant departments. including the Finance Ministry, Economy Ministry, Public Service Department, and Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (Mampu), to study the amendments.

New Straits Times : ANWAR : THAI MEGA PROJECT TO BENEFIT MALAYSIA

28.11.2023 : MALAYSIA stands to benefit from Thailand's proposal to construct a port and a land bridge that will bypass the Straits of Malacca. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday said his Thai counterpart, Srettha Thavisin, had given his commitment that Malaysia would be involved in the mega project.

26.11.2023 : PUTRAJAYA : Ministries and government departments must set a good example by reducing the sugar intake during their programmes in an effort to repair Malaysia's image of having the highest rate of diabetes cases in Asia, says the Prime Minister. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the responsibility to repair the country's image should not only be placed on the shoulders of the Health Ministry but also every person in the government as well as food and beverage sellers and the public.

New Straits Times : PM : MOVE TO RESOLVE THAI CHECKPOINT ISSUES

28.11.2023 : MALAYSIA and Thailand have agreed to resolve pending issues at the border checkpoints here and in Sadao in the next two weeks. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said this was agreed on during a bilateral meeting with his Thai counterpart Srettha Thavisin in Sadao yesterday.

New Straits Times : CYBERSECURITY BILL GETS CABINET NOD

25.11.2023 : THE cabinet has agreed in principle to the drafting of the Cybersecurity Bill this month, focusing on regulatory powers and law enforcement. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in a speech read by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan yesterday, said the National Cyber Security Agency (Nacsa) would be upgraded to become the leading national body and enforcer of the proposed bill.
