The Star : More funds allocated for flood follow-up measures

3.12.2024 : KUALA LUMPUR : The government has allocated additional funds for post-flood follow-up measures expected to start in mid-December, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The Prime Minister said that based on a report by his deputy Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who chairs the National Disaster Management Committee, floodwaters in some areas have started to recede.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said in the case of the Immigration Department, one of the pressing issues was that many long-serving staff members have been stuck at mid-level grades for decades.
